June 2019 - Ella's 10th Birthday Parties

Ella celebrated her 10th birthday with friends at a trampoline park on the weekend of her big birthday!

It was a unicorn theme this year, which was super fun to plan!

Our goodie bags to the girls included a glow unicorn headband, a unicorn backpack clip,
tattoos and fruit snacks! I decorated plain white sacks with unicorn faces! I think they turned out so cute...

 BIRTHDAY GIRL!!

The next day we celebrated with family at our house...

We served lunch (BBQ chicken sandwiches) with some fun salad which we dubbed Unicorn Wings!!

Desserts are the best on birthdays!

It was a magical (get it?!) day!
And now Ella is TEN!

May 2019

Wonder what we did in May 2019? Me too! LOL! Good thing we have cameras on our phones so I can look back and reminisce about what we did....

I made it to the Pinterest convention in Minneapolis this year. It was a fun morning of crafts and shopping with a friend.

I made the cutest felted wool Christmas ornament!

It was Ella's Spring Dance Show!

I never took a picture of Ella in her hip hop outfit (totally forgot!)

Also this year, Jay and Ella danced in the dad/daughter routine!

End of the month brought a trip for Ella and I to Worthington for cousin Lexi's birthday!
How is she 5?! It was fun to see everyone and celebrate the birthday girl

Ella even got a haircut from Kaila while we were in town!

She was excited to cut it shorter now that dance was over for the season.
How can it almost be her 10th birthday?!?

April 2019

April started with me moving into a new office (in fact, the entire firm moved to a new suite in our current office building). I took a few snap shots of the space. The view is of the Mississippi River!

There's a new ice cream shop in town that opened up for the spring season!
Of course we had to check it out!

On the home front, we FINALLY got a new kitchen/dining table and chairs. AMEN!
It was a long process, but Pier 1 had a farmhouse style table that I really liked.
We mix and matched some chairs and a bench for seating.

EASTER 2019!
We headed to sunrise service on Easter Sunday and then out for breakfast (hello Perkins!). We spent the rest of the day with Jay's family. We all went to his parents house for lunch and an egg hunt!

 LOL! We are dorks

Later in the month, it was JFK Nationals in Rochester!
Ella's high kick and hip hop teams qualified this year, so it was a really fun day.
Best thing - Her kick team placed 1st! It was an incredible performance
and just so fun to watch these girls truly shine on the big stage!
Her hip hop team did well too, placing 4th.

Pre-Competition fuel-up (and selfie) at Panera Bread!

 So Proud!

Getting sassy before hip hop takes the stage!

March 2019

March was a busy month! Ella finished her basketball season with a tournament, she had some dance competitions and spring break!!

At school, 4th graders had a wax museum. Ella researched Walt Disney and then presented him during the wax museum!

Basketball Tournament!

Another Braces Adjustment - getting close to the end of Round one!

Ella has started to take an interest in baking more and more and her first solo recipe was Confetti Sugar Cookies - she did a great job!

And her braces are off!! They officially came off on March 8th

Time to get a retainer....

Before we left town for Spring Break, we started off strong with a trip to the Mall of America!
Ella wanted to use her Build-A-Bear Workshop Gift card that she got for Christmas

Jay started doing some light reading in March...starting to research different breeds of dogs. Because apparently I am the only sane one in our house and thought we should NOT get a dog.
(Stay Tuned - I lost that argument)

SPRING BREAK 2019 - We headed to a resort in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
It was an indoor waterpark and also arcade/trampoline park.
Overall, we enjoyed it but the water park was pretty lame.
The arcade was the best!!

Pac-Man Air Hockey!! I LOVED THIS GAME!

 Always playing claw machines...

We left town but left our MN mark at the Caribou Coffee chalkboard!! LOL!

We ended the month with a dance competition! Both of Ella's teams placed 3rd!

BAM!
