Ella's birthday landed on a Saturday this year, so we were able to host a family gathering on her actual birthday, which Ella thought was amazing and she was so excited about this!
Here are some pictures from her 9th birthday party at home, which was a mermaid theme!
We started the day off big with a giant #9 chocolate covered donut - with sprinkles of course!
We served a lunch of bbq chicken sandwiches, chips and fruit (or salad - I can't remember now!)

For dessert, we served cake with ice cream and licorice (fruit flavored)
We did another set of photo booth prop photos with those who attended the party! This year I found some cool mermaid props on Etsy which I downloaded, cut out and put on small wooden dowels!
That night, my mom stayed over night (having a sleepover with Ella in the guest room!)
We headed to the Lakeville Brewing Company for dinner and Ella got this giant sundae!
And then the next morning before my mom headed home, we had breakfast at Suzie's Kitchen! Ella was gifted a little kitty purse from the owner. She's amazing.
It was a fun filled weekend of birthday celebrating!
